In her spare time, Eva loves to move her body. You can find her tending to her garden, practicing yoga, trying new restaurants, foods and flavors, hiking, traveling, or hanging with her beloved cats Etta James and Aaliyah-Mariah.
Biography
I believe that everyone deserves to experience the liberation that healing brings. The freedom to be truly present and in our bodies. The ability to trust ourselves - our inner knowing - and to make well-informed decisions from a place of wholeness. We are all designed to heal, but sometimes we need some guidance and support along the way. My work is all about the journey to Whole. Honoring all of our parts, nourishing the nervous system, establishing trust and safety, and strengthening your relationship with your own intuition - mind, body and soul - so that we can connect authentically. Healing is the journey, not the destination, and I am deeply honored to walk alongside you on this path of transformation.
As humans, we are social creatures – we are here to connect. Connection is vital for us as children for our development and we must nurture it for optimal health, and overall wellness, as we grow and age. Eva works primarily with couples, and people in intimate relationships to strengthen relational health and to support folks in creating deeper, more fulfilling, dynamic relationships.
Eva is a somatic focused therapist with expertise in trauma — complex, developmental — attachment, and relationships. She works with couples, partners and individuals to help them better understand their patterns and their nervous systems and so that they can engage in and create fulfilling, dynamic, reparative relationships with themselves and others. Eva helps couples foster deeper connection through what she calls mindful conflict, supporting them in embodiment, practicing choosing connection, and active repair.
Eva’s holistic approach to couples therapy is steeped in attachment theory, embodiment, and her comprehensive understanding of the nervous system. Eva has taken workshops with Esther Perel, Terry Real of Relational Life Therapy (RLT), Dr. Stan Tatkin creator of Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT), Dr. Frank Anderson of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and studies with Dr. Ellyn Bader at the Couples Institute. Eva is fully trained in Somatic and Attachment-Focused (S.A.F.E.) Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and working towards certification. Eva is also a 500-Hour Certified Yoga teacher with a focus on trauma-informed therapeutic practices, restorative yoga, mindfulness, meditation and breathwork.
