Biography

Amy received her Master of Social Work with a trauma certification from the University of Tennessee and her Bachelor of Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies from Middle Tennessee State University. She is trained in attachment, self-regulation, EMDR, mindfulness, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and sand tray therapy. She practices from a client-focused, anti-oppressive, and harm-reductionist framework.

In addition to her work in the anti-sexual violence field, Amy’s experience also includes serving clients in inpatient substance abuse treatment and those who have experienced religious trauma. Amy celebrates and works with clients of all genders and sexual orientations, ages 16 and up.
