Brittany Jones, LCSW
Brittany is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker by the State of Tennessee and has a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Broadcast Journalism, Mass Communication from the University of Central Arkansas. Brittany received a certificate in the treatment of Trauma from the University of Tennessee College of Social Work. She is trained in S.A.F.E. Somatic and Attachment Focused EMDR and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Brittany utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy with the purpose of meeting each client’s individual and unique needs.
Brittany believes that the act of meeting people right where they are creates a sacred space, which allows them to take ownership of the therapeutic process. She also believes that people are already equipped with every tool necessary to overcome life’s obstacles, and she aims to support her clients as they uncover these tools. With an inviting, safe, and confidential atmosphere, Brittany helps her clients continue their journey to healing.
In the past, she has provided counseling and case management services to individuals in schools, the criminal justice system, community mental health agencies, domestic violence shelters, and non-profit agencies.
In her free time, Brittany enjoys being a 'foodie', exercising, and spending time with friends and family.
Specialties: Her specialties include trauma, anxiety, depression, life adjustments, and racial issues. Brittany works with black, indigenous people of color (BIPOC), adolescents, and adults.
